“I haven’t understood a bar of music, but I have felt it.”
-Igor Stravinsky
Therese-Marie has felt the expressive and purifying power of music. This passion has given her a compelling and passionate voice in the world of popular and contemporary music. Having composed her first song at the age of eleven, and playing guitar and piano, Therese-Marie brings her unique and reverent music style to life with a vibrancy and sound all her own.
“There’s a Cry In My Heart”, Therese-Marie’s critically acclaimed freshman album, produced by award winning producer and artist Lenny LeBlanc, led to her first music video, performances in Nashville and at premiere theaters in Branson as well as receiving radio and national television exposure.
Among her many credits, she has had the honor this year of being among Billboard Magazine’s World Song Contest, placing among the top with five of her newest songs in 2008 in three genres: Pop, Country and Christian music categories. Her latest music video is called “Ain’t that Kinda Man” and is a cut off of her new “Butterfly” CD shot in Pacific, Missouri using only local talent. The video and CD release party has been described in the newspaper “The Missourian” throughout the Summer of 2008. It has a country rock flair and is being well received.
Her music video “Will I Still Have You?”, Ranked #1 for a week on the Entertainment Website, www.ourstage.com, to finish at #5 along with her music Video “BreakitDown/I Love My Body” ranking #11.
Therese-Marie has also had the honor of being commissioned to write the theme song and appear in the McDonald’s Gospelfest music video to benefit the Ronald McDonald House as well as lending her voice and songwriting talents to Nashville’s Celebrity Softball Benefit which aired on National television for three consecutive years featuring her voice and performance. This show featured Amy Grant, Vince Gill and other headlining stars from the world of contemporary country music.
